We are proud to have participated in the first annual Ruta La Paz 10k and 5k race in Tamarindo yesterday  (http://rutalapaz.tamarindohomepage.com/).   Gold Coast Charters was one of the local sponsors of the event which benefited the La Paz Community School’s Scholarship Fund.    Congratulations to all of the competitors including Captain Judd Dunham who ran the 10k.  As the racers returned, the Gold Coast Charters bonfire was set ablaze, the band turned up their music, and it was time to relax.   It was a great time with great people for a great cause!  Pura vida!

Where do Hibiscus and Libre Sin Trabas depart from?  Hibiscus and Libre Sin Trabas depart from the Flamingo/Potrero bay, near the marina shack with small parking lot and partially constructed pier. We are a 10 minute walk from Flamingo or from Surfside.

What do we need to bring?  Bring your bathing suit, beach towel, hat, sunscreen, camera, and some cash to tip the crew for their outstanding service.

What if it rains?  As long as the conditions are safe, your trip will depart as scheduled. If the conditions are not safe due to strong winds or intense thunder and lightning, the trip will be rescheduled or refunded.

Do I need reservations?  Yes, you do need reservations.   Please call (506) 8935-7600 or (506) 8935-9203. 

Do I need to pay a deposit?  We request a 20% deposit to hold your reservation.  We accept cash or Pay Pal.

What is the cancellation policy?  Reservations for private charters must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the scheduled cruise to receive a full refund.  Reservations for individuals must be cancelled 48 hours prior to departure to receive a full refund.

Another important feature of our safety program is the training that is provided for our customers.  Whether you’re only lounging in the sun on a relaxing sailing charter or you are venturing to the depths with third lung diving, our crew and captain will guide you through it.  Customers receive a brief orientation to the boat and an introduction to the captain and crew.  Additional instruction is provided depending on the activities selected for the charter.  For example, third lung diving training includes a short informational DVD, on deck instruction from a guide, time for questions and answers and an in water guide throughout your dive.  For more information on third lung diving, visit:  http://www.browniesmarinegroup.com/third-lung

Gold Coast Charters maintains safe and orderly boats, purchases quality equipment and parts, and maintains all equipment to exceed safety requirements.  Crew members periodically perform safety training including rescue training, basic First Aid, and CPR.  We worry about your safety so you can spend your time enjoying your vacation.
